NotesNOTEWORTHY: Hailing from one of the historical wineries of the Sagrantino area, Il Domenico’s exceptional rigor and balance make it a paradigm of the Montefalco classification. Enveloping aromas of tobacco, cocoa, and licorice preview the well-structured flavor with tannins that promise good long term aging. Long finish. A great wine to cellar. 42 months in various types of barrels of different sizes, then bottle-aged for another 12 months. Suggested pairing: boiled beef or stews with roasted potatoes.
