Vino Bianco da Uva Invernenga 2013, Pusterla

Pusterla’s white wine has a deep connection to the ancient native varietal “Invernenga” and to the historic vineyards where it originated. The 4-hectare, Pusterla Vineyard —the largest urban vineyard in Europe—rises along the slopes of Mount Cidneo, whose summit is dominated by the Brescia Castle. The clayous, skeleton-rich terrain has a calcareous base. The vines are trained with the Guyot system. The color’s near-perfect transparency and the clean delicate aromas are the hallmarks of this rare grape. Dry, with a strong, persistent acidic note and a slightly bitter almond finish. Apricot and wild apple surface in the aftertaste. Serve at 12-13 °C.
